Thanks in large part to my daughter, Olive, in 2024 I began to actively pursue the lifelong dream of acting. We auditioned for the summer series at Shawnee Mission Theater in the Park, and were both cast in the amazing show, Bye Bye Birdie. It reignited a fire in my belly to be surrounded by passionate and talented performers, and gave me the confidence to make the stage and screen a part of my life.
My interest began when I first watched Michael J. Fox climb into the unmistakable time traveling DeLorean in Back to the Future. I was exposed to my first experience on stage as a fifth-grader at the Wichita High School East performance of The King and I. Frankenstein’s Monster with a vocal solo in the silly little show The Contest might have been my middle school highlight. And then, for far too long, I let fear and self doubt lock away those dreams.
Inspired by this amazing kid who is raising me as much as I am her, and with the benefit of a little life experience, I’m eager to contribute to commercial, film, and theatrical projects.
Drop me a line if you think I might be a good fit for something you’re working on, or just want to say hello!
